Hi all!  My name is Leslie.  I've been painting for about 8 years.  I started while recovering from a back injury.  Painting helped me through some difficult times.  Even though I never took any professional or school type classes or lessons on art, I have had lessons from my Aunt Hildy who has been painting for 20 years or so.  She still goes to classes and shows me a new techniques or a new color she just learned.  She has been a big inspiration to me as far as painting and has been my "teacher" per say while I have been painting.  My favorite artists are Claude Monet, Mary Cassett -- most of the renegade artist of their time.  I love working with oils, but have done some acrylics and dabbled in water colors.
Other interest are mainly anything related to Sci-fi.  I attend different conventions and love to take pictures of the many people who attend.  Not just the guest stars but pictures of us "regular" folk.  I enjoy working with my hands and its not uncommon for me to be working on a crochet project or making my own ornaments, or trying out something  completely new. 
Unless stated, my paintings are done in oils.  Drawings are done in charcoal and pastels.  Thanks for stopping by!
